UNFICYP's work and continued US support for efforts to reunify Cyprus were the main topics of discussion on Friday between US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried and UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Cyprus Colin Stewart in Washington.
In a post on Twitter, the State Department's Office said Donfried met with Stewart to discuss the important work of UNFICYP and continued US support for Cypriot-led UN mediation efforts to reunify the island on the basis of a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation.
