No complaints were received from the 873 Cyprus-wide checks carried out by the Police from yesterday Friday until 07.00 today Saturday, regarding the measures against the pandemic.
From yesterday Friday, following a decision of the Council of Ministers and due to the increase in the number of positive cases of the disease COVID-19, it becomes mandatory to use a mask in closed, indoor spaces.
According to the controls/complaints for anti-pandemic measures from Friday, July 8 – Saturday, July 9 (0700), based on data from the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, 139 controls were carried out in the Nicosia District, 373 in the Limassol District, in the District Larnaca 41, in Paphos District 150, in Famagusta District 138 and in Morphou District 32.
The checks did not result in any complaints.
