Record of hospitalizations of children in Makareio - "Parents to vaccinate children"

The Makareio hospital recorded a record of hospitalizations of children positive for coronavirus, according to the Director of the Pediatric Clinic of the hospital, Dr. Abraham Elias since according to him during the pandemic the largest number that was recorded was the seven hospitalizations.

"Today we have the largest number of hospitalizations ever recorded. The situation is manageable but we do not know how long this will continue. "If we have more positive cases in the coming days, the hospitalizations will be more", said Dr. Elias speaking on the show Mesimeri kai Kati.

He also noted that the risk of serious illness in children may be low but it is real. "That is why we must shield our children with vaccinations and not endanger the smooth operation of schools. "Parents need to be faithful to science and get their children vaccinated."

Regarding the readiness of the hospital in case of more hospitalizations, Dr. Abraham Elias said that there is a plan for an increase in beds.
