Today, Zelensky's "date" with Cyprus and Greece

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addresses the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives online in a special session this afternoon.

An announcement of the Parliament states that "the Speaker of the House of Representatives announces to the honorable members that on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 6.00 pm, a special session of the Parliament will be held, during which the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will address with his speech in the body ".

Also, at 12:00 on Thursday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will address the Greek Parliament online.

Both the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the leader of the official opposition, Alexis Tsipras, as well as most of the leaders of the opposition parties, as well as the deputies, will be in Parliament for Zelenski's speech via video conference.

The Ukrainian president's speech was announced after a telephone conversation he had with Kyriakos Mitsotakis on March 25th and the prime minister's call to Volodymyr Zelensky to be placed in the Greek Parliament.

The speech of the President of Ukraine in the Plenary Session of the Parliament is expected to last about 10-15 minutes, as in the other similar positions in national parliaments.

According to the Speaker of the Parliament, Costas Tassoulas, during the special session of the Plenary Session, the Ambassador of France will be present, due to the French Presidency of the EU, the Ambassador of Ukraine and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus, as Vice Chancellor.

Costas Tassoulas described Zelensky's speech in Parliament as a symbolic way "to show our solidarity with the Ukrainian people."
