Episodic chase - Collided with two patrol cars before being arrested

A quantity of cannabis of more than one kilo was located and confiscated yesterday by YKAN in Limassol, whose members proceeded with the arrest of a 36-year-old, to facilitate the investigations.

Specifically, around 3.40pm. Yesterday, after evaluating specific information and relevant monitoring, members of YKAN stopped for inspection, on a street in Limassol, a car driven by a 36-year-old resident of Limassol. As soon as the 36-year-old realized the members of the Police, he tried to escape with his vehicle. His attempt resulted in his car colliding with two official vehicles and coming to a standstill.

During a search of his car, a quantity of cannabis weighing one kilogram and 147 grams, as well as a precision scale with traces of cocaine and cannabis were found and confiscated, as a result of which the 36-year-old was arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations.

YKAN (Limassol District Committee) is investigating the case.
