The Pancyprian Confederation of Federations of Parents' Associations of Primary Schools expresses its regret and strong dissatisfaction with the decision of POED to proceed with a work stoppage of its members tomorrow, Monday, between the hours of 07:30 am. and 8.25 a.m.
According to a relevant announcement, the Pancyprian Confederation of Federations of Primary School Parents' Associations states that it notes once again the lack of communication and dialogue between the Ministry of Education and the POED that leads, as it notes, to the suffering of thousands of students and parents.
We recognize, they add, the democratic right of every citizen and employee to strike, but we believe that this is not the right time to do so, as it further creates disruption in the already burdened operation of schools.
They also call on the POED, even the last one, to revoke its decision for a one-hour work stoppage. He also notes that as informed by the Ministry of Health, the mobile units that carry out the test to stay measure will be in schools from 07:00.
They also point out that despite all the efforts they made as Organized Parents, they could not ensure the observance of the protocols but also the safe custody of the children in the schools before 08:25.
Finally, the Pancyprian Confederation of Parents' Associations of Primary Schools assures that they will continue their fight for the rights of their children, as stated in their previous announcement.
