Half a kilo of cannabis was found and confiscated last night, during traffic checks in Nicosia. To facilitate the investigations, the members of the Police arrested a 25-year-old.
Specifically, around 11 p.m. Yesterday, members of the Police stopped a car moving on a street in Nicosia. The car was driven by the 25-year-old, who after a drug test, which he underwent, was found to be driving under the influence of drugs.
A search of the car followed, during which a quantity of cannabis, weighing a total of 500 grams, was found and confiscated.
The 25-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and was taken into custody to facilitate investigations. YKAN (Nicosia District Committee) is investigating the case.
