The Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 12:12 a fire broke out in an area of the community Prodromi.
The intervention of the forest fire brigade was immediate, as a result of which the fire was brought under control at 12:40, burning an area of 1 decare with low wild vegetation, cuttings and pruning.
The firefighting operation involved 5 people from the Forest Department with 1 fire truck, and 3 people from the Fire Service with 1 fire truck.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
