Arrests of CYPRA and A&A slaughterhouse owners and illegal workers

Police say they arrested the two slaughterhouse owners and nine illegal foreign workers in order to be charged in writing and later summoned.

According to police sources, these are the CYPRA and A&A slaughterhouses in Nicosia.

The announcement of the Police states that the Foreigners and Immigration Service (YAM) and the Department of Labor, today carried out inspections in two slaughterhouses.

Three illegal aliens and three undeclared persons were found in the first slaughterhouse. The three illegals and the owner were arrested.

Six foreigners without a work permit and three undeclared workers were found in the second slaughterhouse. The six foreigners and the owner were arrested.

All those arrested will be charged in writing to be summoned later, while they will be fined out of court.
