Blake Ward decided to go for a swim with his girlfriend Stephanie Ray and their friends on the beaches of Wales. There the fatality happened, the 16-year-old was swept away by strong currents together with his two friends.
He was taken to hospital, but had fallen into a coma and there was no going back. According to the daily mirror, the young man had suffered severe brain damage.
His 15-year-old girlfriend did not leave his side for a moment, while after four days of hospitalization, when it came time to disconnect the unfortunate young man from the machines that kept him alive, she climbed on his bed and stayed in his arms until he let out his last breath.
The girl uploaded the photo to her Facebook account, writing:
"Today is the worst day of my life and one day I will never forget. Blake left with his family by his side. He will always have a special place in my heart and I will love him forever ".
