Facebook is declared a mobile application of the decade, as it has been "downloaded" more than any other user worldwide during the period 2010-2019.
Facebook's dominance is impressive, as three other members of Facebook's "family", Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger and Instagram, follow in popularity, according to research firm App Annie.
Snapchat (Snap), Skype (Microsoft), Tik Tok (Chinese ByteDance), UC Browser (Chinese Alibaba), YouTube (Google) and Twitter complete the top ten.
The most popular online dating app of the decade is Tinder, Netflix in video streaming, and Pandora Music in streaming music and radio.
As for the electronic games with the most "downloads" internationally between 2010-2019, first is Subway Surfers (of Danish Kiloo) followed by Candy Crush Saga (of the American Activision Blizzard), Temple Run 2 (of the American Imangi ) and My Talking Tom of the Cypriot Outfit7.
In 2019, mobile apps saw new growth, with an increase of about 5% in total downloads by users compared to 2018, a trend that is expected to continue in 2020, according to App Annie.
