AGIA NAPA: 12 bathers were rescued in one day by the lifeguards of the Municipality (VIDEO)

The beaches of the province of Famagusta and in this case the beaches of Ayia Napa may be undoubtedly the safest, but the large number of foreign visitors and bathers, the inexperience of many and the weather conditions contribute to the occurrence of incidents on the beaches where lifeguards Municipality of Ayia Napa deal, fortunately, with immediacy.

Specifically, yesterday Friday, (27/7) the lifeguards of the Municipality were called to deal with 7 incidents involving a total of 12 bathers on the beaches of Ayia Napa.

At approximately 14:00, on the beach "Pantachou" in Ayia Napa, an elderly man called for help after being swept away by the strong current. Lifeguards from the Municipality of Ayia Napa immediately intervened and transported him out of the water safely.

At 15:30 on Nisi beach, a 25-year-old woman from Russia called for help after she was swept away by the current. A lifeguard who was on a jet ski patrol located her and transported her safely to land.

At 16:00, again on Nisi beach, four young people of Arab origin were in danger after the current swept them away and due to their inexperience they called for help. The lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa intervened immediately and helped them get ashore.

At 16:25 on the same beach, a 25-year-old man from Russia was calling for help due to exhaustion. Lifeguards from the Municipality of Ayia Napa immediately intervened and transported him safely out of the water.

At 17:05, a 23-year-old girl from Russia called for help after being swept away by a strong current. The lifeguards of the Municipality intervened in time and helped her to get out of the water safely.

At 17:40, an elderly man from Great Britain called for help due to exhaustion and with the help of lifeguards he went ashore safely.

Finally, at 18:05, three young men of Russian origin were in danger of drowning due to the turbulence in the area. The lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa located them in time and transported them safely to land.
