A person was handcuffed by the Police for the attempted kidnapping that occurred last Saturday in Ayia Napa.

According to the Police, on Monday morning the Authorities arrested a 29-year-old man while another person is wanted for the case.

Earlier, the Police spokesperson, Christos Andreou, reported to KYPE that, around 4.30:8 in the afternoon of Saturday, July XNUMX, the Police received information about an attempted kidnapping.

Members of the Police went to a specific beach in Ayia Napa. From the investigations carried out it was established that two persons wearing a hood over their faces allegedly grabbed a 35-year-old man from the sunbed where he was lying and took him to another part of the beach.

Mr. Andreou added that "as the complainant reported to the Police, at some point he resisted, as a result of which the two hooded men let him go and ran away. The 35-year-old suffered abrasions in various parts of his body from the shootings of the strangers and was taken to Famagusta General Hospital, where after receiving first aid he was discharged."
