According to information from Famagusta.News, due to the strong winds that blow in the last days but mainly due to the inexperience of foreign bathers, the lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa managed to deal with three incidents on the beach "Island" of Ayia Napa, which the period suffocated by visitors.
Specifically, yesterday Monday at 12:15 at noon on Nisi beach, a 15-year-old girl from Great Britain was swept away by a strong current and called for help. Thanks to the immediate intervention of the members of the lifeguard team of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, it was transported safely to the coast.
Also, on the same beach, at 16:15, an elderly woman was swept away by the current and called for help. The lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa intervened and transported her safely to the coast.
Finally, on the same beach, at 16:40, two young women from Great Britain were in danger when they were swept away by the strong sea current and called for help. The lifeguards of the Municipality of Ayia Napa intervened in time and rescued them and transported them safely to the coast.
