According to the spokesman of the Fire Service, Andreas Kettis, "in the area of Ayia Napa, two fires are raging that started around two in the afternoon. "One of the fires is at the first Ayia Napa exit on the Larnaca-Paralimni highway and the second at the Ayia Napa roundabout and the second is a few meters away."
He added that three vehicles from the Famagusta Fire Station are fighting to extinguish the fires, while efforts are being made to send an aircraft to the scene, which is throwing water to extinguish the fire that broke out this morning on the Nicosia-Lamezos highway in the Nicosia area.
