The Municipal Councilor of Ayia Napa, Emilia Xidia, erupts through social media expressing her dissatisfaction with the lack of protection of the citizens of Ayia Napa.

As he wrote characteristically on Facebook:

A brainless criminal was found with a Kalashnikov in his hand and told to use it. He came out unmolested into one of the main streets of Ayia Napa. Outside our homes and half a kilometer away from the Police Station and he was looking for his victim undisturbed.
Mr. Minister of Justice, what is happening?
Do you have something to tell us?
How they all found themselves with guns in their hands and the most tragic of all is that they use them on unsuspecting people and dispel rumors of shops that were built with effort and toil.
As a citizen of this place, as a resident where I was born, raised, work in Ayia Napa I ask you how do you protect us ??
How do you protect our children?
How do you protect our businesses?
From 2012 until today, three crimes were committed in Ayia Napa, with the first being the fivefold murder committed on June 23, 2012 in Ayia Napa. Today, another criminal act was added to our list.
As a citizen and as a mother, I am asking the state for something we are entitled to and it is nothing more than proper policing in Ayia Napa, an issue that has not been resolved by the government for 8 years. How many crimes must be committed and how many attempts and criminal actions must be taken by the government to protect Ayia Napa with policing.
We want to walk now without being afraid to walk,
We want to go to our cafes without thinking that someone will come and start puffing at us for no reason.
We want very simple, these simple things that we are entitled to as citizens of this place.
When will you provide them to us? ;;;;;;;;;;;;
