Following the successful launch of Cyprus Casinos “C2” in Ayia Napa earlier this month, the Mayor of Ayia Napa officially inaugurated the new facility on Wednesday 31 July 2019. C2 Ayia Napa is the third licensed satellite casino to open its doors in Cyprus after C2 Nicosia and C2 Larnaca, while it was preceded by the operation of the temporary C2 Limassol casino in Limassol.

The C2 Ayia Napa started its operation on July 15, 2019, marking a new era for the tourism sector of the Municipality. The casino is located in the heart of the busiest tourist area of Ayia Napa, has 50 state-of-the-art gaming machines and the popular Columbia Bistro operates inside the casino. The C2 Ayia Napa is expected to enhance the overall experience of the visitors, while enriching the tourist product of the city.
The inauguration of C2 Ayia Napa took place in the presence of prominent personalities, including members of the Ayia Napa Municipal Council, representatives of the media, the Pancyprian Hoteliers Association and the Famagusta Tourist Commercial Industrial Company. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the casino facilities and be briefed by Melco executives on the latest developments, receiving useful information on the operation of the casino.
Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Giannis Karousos, expressed his satisfaction for the opening of the casino and said: “We are very happy that Melco has chosen our municipality to operate its satellite casino in the province. Famagusta. I am sure that the new facilities that we inaugurated today, in combination with the specialization and professionalism of Melco, will contribute to the strengthening of the tourist product of Ayia Napa. We look forward to a constructive cooperation that will have multiple benefits for the local economy and community ". The Mayor also noted that the casino will contribute to the establishment of Ayia Napa as a destination for all seasons.
The Chief Executive Officer of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos "C2", Mr. Craig Ballantyne, thanked the Mayor for his valuable support, stating that: "Undoubtedly Ayia Napa has a lot to offer, being such a popular tourist destination, for the residents of Cyprus as well as for foreign tourists.

"C2" operates in full compliance with the Cypriot legislation and regulations, reflecting Melco's ongoing commitment to the highest standards of service, quality and responsible gaming. Admission is free and only allowed to people over the age of 21, and guests do not have to register as members. It is worth noting that the C2 Ayia Napa is open daily from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
