The first regular tourists for 2019 were awarded by the Municipality of Ayia Napa in a special event and declared as Ambassadors of Tourism.

Norwegian tourists were rewarded for their many visits to Ayia Napa, including Toril Elisabeth Werner Gudbrandsen who has visited the city more than 80 times!

Specifically, the new Ambassadors of Tourism are Toril Elisabeth Werner Gudbrandsen (80 visits), Geraldine Esther Loose (55 visits), Lillian Marie Lande (30 visits), Kollbjørn Bogen (30 visits), Per Aslak and Kari Adland (30 visits) , Arne Kristoffer and Tove Marion Sollid (28 views), Jan Agnar and Signy Marie Kletteng (21 visits) and Oddny Karoline Andreassen (20 visits).

The first new Ambassadors of 2019 were honored with the highest distinction of the Municipality of Ayia Napa by the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousos, in a modest ceremony that took place in the specially designed space, at the entrance of the Municipal Palace. 

Welcoming the Norwegian travelers, Mr. Karousos first explained the reasons for their award, for the establishment of the institution of "Ambassador of Tourism" by the Municipal Council as well as for the electronic diploma which will be sent to their e-mail, He pointed out that the regular visitors are of the utmost importance for the Local Authority since they represent Ayia Napa in the most practical and convincing way in their countries.

He also told them that they now officially belong to the large family of Ayia Napa and expressed his heartfelt thanks to them that Ayia Napa remained for a long time the regular and permanent destination for their holidays.
