The Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain Mr. Nikitas in Ayia Napa
The Most Reverend Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain, Mr. Nikitas, was welcomed on Thursday, September 29, at the Holy Church of Panagia Agia Napa by the Mayor of Agia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos, together with His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Constantia/Ammochos, Mr. Vasilios, on the occasion of his official visit to Cyprus and of his tour in the Free Province of Famagusta.
After he was given a tour of the interior of the Church by the Priest, the Reverend Priesthood and the Members of the Ecclesiastical Committee, he signed the visitor's book and was then guided by the Mayor and the Priest to the Monastery and the Old Church where in its forecourt Mr. Zannettou offered souvenirs.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa expressed to the Archbishop of Thyateira his satisfaction and that his presence in Ayia Napa is a great honor for the Local Authority and the citizens and he assured the Municipality's support for the wonderful work carried out by the Archdiocese of Thyateira.
