The Ambassador of Spain in Cyprus Mr. Alvaro Castillo-Aguilar was received today, Wednesday, March 20, at the Sculpture Park, by the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousos, on the occasion of his meeting with the well-known Spanish sculptor Daniel Perez, who participates in BD Phase of the 6th International Sculpture Symposium, which started on March 15 and will end on April 15.
Mr. Karousos briefed the Spanish Ambassador on the Sculpture Park, on the important projects that have already been implemented as well as on those that are being implemented, on tourism issues and exchanged views on issues of common interest.
He also expressed his special joy to the Ambassador for the fact that a renowned Spanish sculptor of world renown is participating in a Sculpture Symposium in Ayia Napa.
For his part, Mr. Aguilar thanked the Mayor for the warm welcome he received, while expressing his admiration for the Sculpture Park, praising the work carried out by the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
The Ambassador of Spain talked to his compatriot, who informed him about the work he had already started painting and then talked to the other sculptors, who are participating in the 6nd Phase of the XNUMXth Sculpture Symposium. The Mayor of Ayia Napa offered souvenirs to the Spanish Ambassador.
Present at the meeting were the Advisor and Deputy Chief of Mission Mrs. Helena Cosano, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Sculpture Symposium Mr. Kikis Konstantinou and the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Mrs. Maria Tofini Tsantila.
