Heavy traffic is observed at times today on the Frenaros-Deryneia road due to road works.
According to the Police, in the province of Famagusta, from Monday 15/2/2021 until Tuesday 2/3/2021, except Saturday and Sunday, between 07:30 - 18:30, sections of roads Wood-eating - Liopetri - Frenaros - Derynia and Liopetri - Sotira will remain closed to traffic due to road works. During the execution of the works, the traffic is channeled through adjacent roads and in some sections in the adjacent lane using the “Stop & Go” system.
Also works are performed in two places on the road Avgorou - Brakes and drivers are advised to be especially careful as traffic is diverted through adjacent roads and in some sections of the adjacent lane using the “Stop & Go” system.
On the Airport Highway Larnaca - Paralimni, the period 9 to 22 February 2021, daily except weekends, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:30 pm, in the following sections of the highway, road marking works will be carried out:
a) from the exit to Avdellero to the first exit to Xylofagou
b) from the first exit to Xylofagou to the Rizoelia Roundabout
c) from the exit to Hellas Avenue to Larnaca Airport
During the execution of the works, the left traffic lane will be partially closed for a length of 1500m. approximately, each time the traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Also on the Airport motorway Larnaca - Paralimni, in the period 25/01/2021 - 25/03/2021, between the hours 08:00 - 15:00 every day except Sundays and holidays, in the section from Larnaca Airport to the exit to Xylofagou from both directions, will be performed mowing and pruning / pruning trees / acacias and picking up junk. During the execution of the works, which will be carried out on the road support, the traffic will not be affected.
