A work accident occurred this morning in Deryneia with the injured man who fell from a height of about three meters, being treated in serious condition at the General Hospital of Famagusta.
According to the Police, around 9 in the morning, while a 31-year-old man from Paralimni was working in a house in Deryneia, placing plasterboard, under conditions that are being investigated, he fell from a height of about three meters to the ground.
Police men and an ambulance of the Hospital went to the scene and picked up the injured person and transported him to the TAEP of the General Hospital of Famagusta.
The doctors on duty found that the 31-year-old had injuries on various parts of his body and broken ribs and was kept for treatment. His condition is currently considered serious but out of danger.
Officers from the Famagusta Labor Inspection Department also went to the scene, who together with the Police photographed the scene and carried out investigations into the circumstances of the accident.
The case is being investigated by the Deryneia Police Station in collaboration with the Famagusta Labor Inspection Department.
