A case of theft by an employee is being investigated by the Famagusta Police in Deryneia.
Police have arrested two people, aged 29 and 43, following a complaint alleging theft of money from a bookstore.
A bookstore owner in Deryneia complained that money had been missing from her company's coffers for several months. Investigations began and it was found that from January 2017 until last November, a sum of money, 16.037 euros, had been stolen.
The owner named a 29-year-old Greek Cypriot working as her employee, who was arrested. During the investigations, testimony was also obtained against another person. He is a 43-year-old private employee who was also arrested.
The two suspects are expected to appear in court later today, for the issuance of detention orders. The case is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE.
