With the participation of over two thousand carnivalists in groups and floats and with thousands of visitors, the events for the Famagusta Carnival hosted by the Municipality of Paralimni are expected to peak.

The climax will be with the two established carnival parades, the Night Footstool on the evening of Saturday 25 February 2023 and the grand Carnival Parade at midday on Sunday 26 February 2023.

More specifically, at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, February XNUMX, the carnivalgoers will pour into the main streets of Paralimni in a foot parade that will start from Tasou Markou Street and end at Agios Georgios Square, where a frenzy will take place in a specially designed space. party with Djs, music, and fun in carnival rhythms and more.

At 2:26 p.m. on Sunday, February XNUMX, the ten-day events culminate with the great Carnival Parade, which will start from the XNUMXnd Primary School of Paralimni (gathering area for groups and floats) and will pass through Protaras Avenue and Agios Georgios Square. More than two thousand carnival revelers with marching groups and floats will participate while a large number of visitors are expected. The parade will be opened by a group of candors consisting of the Mandolinata of the Municipality of Paralimni and then the float of

King and Queen themed “Musical Carnival”. This year's "royal couple" consists of the dance teacher Christiana Siopacha who represents the Frenarous Community and the musician and performer Kostas Florentzou who represents the Community of Agios Georgios Acheritos - Vrysoullon.

The Municipality of Paralimni informs that all municipal parking lots will be available for free parking by the public, while the participants are informed that they should come to the gathering and starting area (Second Primary School of Paralimni) no later than 12:30 noon. At the same time, the public is informed that Protara Avenue, Agios Georgiou Street and parts of Makariou C, Griva Digeni and Acropolis streets will be closed to traffic from 12 noon on Sunday 26 February 2023 until the end of the parade.

On Friday 24 February at 7:30 in the event hall of the Paralimni Municipal Hall, the Paralimni Mandolinata and the "Anemoessa" Choir of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios will present old carols and favorite Greek songs in carnival rhythms. The entrance is free.
