The Famagusta District Court issued a three-day detention order today against a 20-year-old man from Liopetri, who allegedly admitted to committing a robbery with the threat of a snorkeling trident, at 4 am yesterday at a central bakery on Achyronos Street in Achyronos Street.

It is recalled that the 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday afternoon by the Police as a suspect in the robbery case at a bakery in Liopetri.

Thanks to the immediate intervention of the Police, whose members carried out examinations, the suspect was summoned early on Friday afternoon at the Famagusta Police Station, where he made a voluntary testimony, admitting guilt.

He then handed over to the Police the clothes he allegedly wore, the assault device and the amount of seventy-five euros. He was arrested in the afternoon and will be brought before the District Court tomorrow, which will issue a detention order.

It is reminded that around 4 in the early hours of Friday A robbery was committed in a bakery on Achyronos Street in Liopetri.

Specifically, according to the complaint of an employee of the bakery in question, during the above period, an unknown person who had his face covered with a hood, entered the bakery and under the threat of an aggressive instrument (trident) opened a drawer under the cash register. , took a purse and fled in an unknown direction.

According to the owner, the bag contained the sum of four hundred euros, while the perpetrator is described as slender, about 1,65m tall and wore jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt and gloves.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
