With heavy rain, lightning, thunder and hail, Larnaca and Famagusta say goodbye in 2021.
According to the Fire Service in the province of Larnaca during the night the Fire Brigade had to intervene in a case to pump water.
Problems also arose in the electricity supply in the villages of Anglisides, Alethriko and Klaudia.
In the free province of Famagusta it rained during the night without causing any problems.
Due to the rains, the road network in Larnaca and Famagusta is slippery while in various places water accumulation is observed.
Drivers are advised to be careful, to drive at low speeds, to maintain safe distances and to have their vehicle lights on.
