A boat with 65 migrants, including 24 children aged one month to 15 years, and two pregnant women, spotted at 11:20 the radars of the Republic of Cyprus sailing off Cape Greco. The Maritime and Port Police of Paralimni were mobilized, and the Civil Defense was put on standby.

The boat accompanied by the Coast Guard was moored at the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos at 4 in the afternoon. In addition to the 24 children, 18 women were on board, two of them pregnant, and 23 men.

The 65 immigrants are under the care of the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus who record with personal interviews as much information about them as possible, because according to a police spokesman, most do not have travel documents.

The two pregnant women were taken to Famagusta General Hospital for precautionary reasons. The care of the children will be undertaken by the competent Government Services.
