The Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, accepted a challenge to dive with his clothes on during today's charity event "I swim with Iakovos" which takes place at the Swimming Pool of Paralimni in memory of Iakovos Triaros.
During today's event, in which the participation exceeded two hundred, the Minister of Transport, Giannis Karousos, swam, who accepted the challenge of the Deputy Mayor of Ayia Napa, Antonis Christou, amounting to € 250 to swim at least 100 meters, as well as the Mayor of Agia Napa Christos Zannetou.
During the two efforts, the Mayor of Paralimni was invited to swim with them, but he refused, saying that he would dive in clothes if someone offered the amount of one thousand euros for this charity. Then, the father of the late Iakovos, Andreas Triaros shouted that he would offer the offered amount of € 1.000, and so Theodoros Pyrillis, said it and did it, diving in his clothes, saying in fact, going out, "Halal of Iakovos".
It is reminded that the proceeds from the original charity event organized by the Nautical Club of Constantia will be donated to the Center of Offer and Love "Agios Christoforos" for the Center of Palliative Care under construction.
