An unexpected surprise and joy awaited everyone yesterday Saturday at the Diocese of Famagusta. As Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras describes, an 8,5 year old boy taught a lesson of love and charity!

On the occasion of his recent birthday he received as a gift a brand new school bag. Everyone would expect that he would gladly keep it for the needs of this school year.

But something else took root in his heart, which he confessed to his mother: "Mom, I have last year's bag that is still good and I can have it for this year as well. I want to give this new one to a child who needs it! "

After his mother congratulated him, he asked him where he would like to hand over the bag and he replied: "To Fr. Augustine to give it where he knows best"! So on Saturday, Mother and Son handed over the bag to Protosyggellos.

Fr. Augustine received it with emotion and told the little one that this gift goes directly to Christ and will have a great blessing in his life.

According to Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras, "These are facts that move us from one side to the other, testify that values and ideals did not die but are cultivated in the souls. Many thanks to our little friend and we wish Jesus Christ to bless and enlighten his life. "
