Specifically, according to information from Famagusta.News, around 01:40 in the morning, while a 55-year-old man was driving his car on Kennedy Street in the area of Kappari, under conditions under investigation, he went in the opposite direction and collided sideways with an oncoming car driven by a 25-year-old. The co-driver of the second vehicle was slightly injured in the collision and was taken to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where she was given first aid.
In the breathalyzer test carried out on the 55-year-old Greek Cypriot, it was found that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the same information, the 55-year-old was driving at high speed shortly before the accident, entering the opposite direction, endangering other drivers.
