The Animal Shelter of the Municipality of Paralimni was visited this morning by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Costas Kadis.
There he met with the Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis and the volunteers of the shelter.

In statements after a visit to the animal shelter in Paralimni, the Minister of Agriculture said that he had the opportunity to discuss with both the volunteers who work there and with the Mayor Theodoros Pyrillis "both the conditions of detention of animals and the need to create a new space that will serve the needs of the area and the increased number of animals that arrive at the shelter ".
He added that "we saw goodwill on all sides to make a radical change. The state will grant land for the creation of a new modern shelter which will operate at the regional level, in an area that will be selected and will meet all the conditions, with the assistance of volunteers and the support of the local government ".
