"Fever" of investments in the province of Famagusta (VIDEO)

The province of Famagusta emphasizes large development projects that are expected to give it a new dynamic and economic status.

Remarkable private investment initiatives, such as the Ayia Napa and Paralimni marinas, the licensed golf course, and the obvious interest in building a large university in Ayia Napa are just some of the projects that have taken shape in recent years.

The entrepreneurs of the province characterize the new developments as important, taking into account that they contribute decisively to the further commercial, economic, tourist and social progress of free Famagusta.

Petros Petrou, President of TEVEA: “Many other large-scale projects now form a dynamic economic activity of the province that we hope will soon be, we will be able to feel it and investors must understand that we are at the beginning of an economic development, exactly where the other provinces were. ”

Benefited from the investment initiatives is the Municipality of Sotiras, which is expected to take advantage of the opportunities that open up for large tourist developments on the coastal front of Agia Thekla such as the luxury Sun City hotel of the Jim Chang Global group which is the largest hotel development in Famagusta.

Georgios Takkas, Mayor Sotiras: In recent years Sotira is at the center of investments, we have the first large hotel which is under construction hoping that it will be operational by the end of 2019. We also have two more hotels under license and all this thanks to strategy that we have followed as the municipality of Sotiras to attract investments in our coastal area.

It is worth noting that in terms of specifics in the Municipality of Sotira, important advantages are the construction of the marina of Ayia Napa in the east and the configuration of the fishing shelter of the river Liopetri in the west of the coastal area of Agia Thekla. These projects, in combination with the planned configuration of the entire coastal front, are expected to put Sotira on the map of tourist investments.
