The Supreme Court today rejected the appeals filed by POVEK against the Minister of Labor for the annulment of the decrees issued by Zeta Aimilianidou on 8/7/13 with which it expanded the areas within which the general stores could operate on Sundays.
In its decision, the Supreme Court considers that the legality of the decrees of the Minister of Labor for the expansion of the areas where the general stores can operate on Sundays cannot be challenged by filing an appeal, as these acts were regulatory acts of a legislative nature.
The Supreme Court therefore dismissed POVEK's appeals.
It is noted that the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court will meet again possibly this week when a final decision will be issued on the opening hours of the stores.
