Concert by Sotiras Youth Center
"Greek rock is zeibekiko" that is why the members of the Youth Center will travel "M" planes and steamers "on the streets of folk song.
Some of the composers are: S. Kraounakis, N. Portokaloglou, D. Savopoulos, T. Mikroutsikos, L. Machairitsas etc.
The orchestra consists of members of the Sotiras Youth Center, but also of additions of musicians from our province. With solid foundations from the support of our Municipality, the excellent knowledge of the instruments and the experience, the band was able to implement important and successful concerts and tributes, some of which are:
o Tribute to the composers Mimi Plessa and Giannis Spanos
o Tribute to Greek cinema
o Tribute to the composers of Cyprus Manos Loizos and Mario Tokas.
We are sure that this year the result will be similar to previous years.
As one of the goals of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, in the second half of 2012, is social integration, this concert will include the screening of short films against racism, poverty, social exclusion and wars.
The concert is under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus and the main sponsor is the Municipality of Sotiras.
