At least seven newspaper workers have been abducted by gunmen in the southern Yemeni city of Aden, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has said it is "concerned" about the "dangers" facing the country's media.

In a statement issued Monday, CPJ said the perpetrators stormed the offices of Akhbar al Youm and Al Shoumou on Friday, abducting at least seven people.

These forms are considered to belong to the Muslim Brotherhood.
"Journalists in Yemen are facing dangers everywhere," said Robert Mahoney, CJP's deputy director, calling for the release of those abducted.

The same offices were set on fire on March 1, according to the CJP.
