Spain has withdrawn international arrest warrants against former Catalan President Carles Puigdemon and three other members of the government, according to international media.
It is recalled that Carles Putzdemon was arrested last March in Germany, on the basis of a Spanish warrant and was to be extradited to Spain.
The former President of Catalonia, according to Spanish Justice, played a key role in the referendum on independence from Spain and in the subsequent secession resolution passed by the regional Parliament.
Following the resolution, Madrid suspended Catalonia and ousted the local government of Putzdemon, forcing the ousted president to go into exile in Belgium.
