Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has been killed by Houthi militants, according to the Interior Ministry. However, Saleh's party denies reports of his death.
Abdullah Saleh was reportedly killed on his way to the Yemeni city of Maarbim, according to Iranian media.
Saleh's assassination was also reported by a Yemeni radio station owned by the country's interior ministry. The Iranian news agency Tasnim published an image, which is supposed to depict the dead Saleh with a wound on the head.
The reports came after previous news suggested that the Houthi had blown up his home in the capital, Sanaa. Since then, the traces of the former leader were unknown.
