A letter addressed to him by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, referring to the Singapore summit and efforts to improve Pyongyang's relations with Washington, was released today by US President Donald Trump.
The US President, in his Twitter post, stated,
"A very nice letter from President Kim of North Korea. Great progress has been made! ”
The letter is dated July 6, and Kim Jong Un states that his first meeting with the US President and the joint statement they signed in Singapore was
"Indeed the beginning of a significant course".
He also expressed his appreciation to Trump for his efforts to improve relations between the two countries and the faithful implementation of their joint statement. At the same time, he called on the US President to take concrete steps "to strengthen mutual trust".
