A quarrel led to the shocking revelation
A 58-year-old man was arrested in Louisiana on charges of possession of child pornography material, following a complaint from his girlfriend.
The quarrel with his 19-year-old girlfriend did not go well for Sherneskie Bell, as his young partner grabbed his cell phone to delete photos of her that he had saved.
Searching, however, he found lewd photographs of young children, some of whom were not more than three years old.
According to Lt. Michael Cunningham, the girl then called her older sister to inform her about her findings. She in turn took his cell phone and handed it to the police.
Two days later, the 58-year-old reported to the authorities that his partner's sister stole his cell phone and accused her of putting the photos in question on the device.
"She said she believed her sister had put some pictures where they supposedly should not be," Lt. Cunningham told the Times-Picayune.
However, after a forensic investigation, it was found that the inappropriate photographic material had been uploaded to the 58-year-old's mobile phone before he reported the theft.
A total of 45 photos of child pornography were found on Bell's device. The 58-year-old was arrested and taken to the Jefferson Parish penitentiary, where he was found to be a fugitive.
