The Ministry of Interior announces that, following an agreement between the President of the Republic and the representative of the Turkish Cypriot Community, regarding the reopening of the roadblocks, the following have been decided:

From June 4 Anyone who could have moved before the pandemic will be able to move, provided they have a negative antigen test or PCR test, valid for 7 days. This means that the following persons will be able to move:

  • All Cypriot (EC and TC) citizens and members of their families.
  • European citizens and members of their families.
  • Citizens of the United Kingdom (UK) and members of their families holding Republic residence permits.
  • Third-country nationals holding residence permits in the Republic.
  • Third-country nationals who entered either from a legal point of entry or from the occupied countries and have a Cypriot visa (90 days).
  • Third-country nationals on the visa-free list (90 days - including UK nationals who do not hold Republic residence permits).
  • Third-country nationals holding residence permits in other Member States (90 days - except Turks and Azeris)
  • Third-country nationals holding a Schengen visa, double and multiple (90 days - except Turks and Azeris).
  • All minors over 12 years of age need to have a negative antigen test or PCR test.

It is reported that the Technical Committee for Health will assess the epidemiological situation at the roadblocks every 15 days and, depending on the cases, the traffic policy will be adjusted.
