Research on milk prices is requested by the Consumers Association

A new call to the Ministry of Commerce and in particular to the competent consumer protection service to carry out an investigation into the prices of milk is addressed by the consumer association.

Speaking on Sigma and on the show Mesimeri and Kati, the president of the association Marios Drousiotis said that for their part, they consider that the total increases of 17% imposed in 2022 on milk prices are excessive and were not justified by the data there were.

However, he called on the consumer protection agency to carry out an investigation to establish beyond all doubt whether or not the increases were indeed justified. Mr. Drousiotis pointed out that milk is one of the five products for which the Ministry of Commerce can impose a ceiling on the price.
