Caution! More than 10 roads closed due to weather conditions

Due to the prevailing weather conditions, several roads have been closed to traffic, while others are only open to vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains or all-wheel drive.

According to the Police, the following roads are closed for traffic:

Pedoula - Prodromou
Pedula - Pinewood - Kakopetrias
Kakopetrias - Karvouna
Kakopetria - Spilia - Kannavia

In addition, due to the slippery road surface, the following roads are only open to vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains or four-wheel drive:

District of Limassol
Prodromou - Troodos
Karvouna - Troodos
Platron - Troodos

Nicosia District
Paleochori - Agros
Paleochori - Aska
Aska - Fterikoudiou
Fterikoudiou - Alonas
Alonas - Platanistasas
Lagouderon - Xyliatou
Lagouderon - Polystypos and
Polystypos - Beads

Nicosia District (Morphou Police Department)
Pedoula - Kykkou - Kambou
Orkoda - Plain

Note that due to frost, all roads in mountainous areas are very slippery, so drivers are urged to be extremely careful.
