A woman was detained on Tuesday for illegally entering and staying in the territory of the Republic and for a case of forgery.

According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, on Tuesday afternoon, a member of the passport control center at Paphos Airport, who was conducting a passport control in the area for the flight to the Netherlands, reported that a woman of African descent had appeared.

During the check, the woman presented a Portuguese passport, which was found to be forged. The suspect was taken to an office at the passport control center at Paphos airport for questioning, where she allegedly stated that the specific information listed in the above identity card is her real information but she is a Cameroonian national.
