The proposal of the Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hadjipandelas was approved at today's meeting by the Council of Ministers, regarding the granting of a boosting dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 to people aged 18 and over, provided that a period of six months has elapsed since the completion of their vaccination regimen (from the administration of the 2nd dose of the Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines or from the administration of the Johnson & Johnson monosodium vaccine).

The decision of the Council of Ministers comes after a proposal to the Minister of Health by the National Advisory Committee on Vaccination, which in a recent session by a majority recommended the start of the vaccination process with a booster dose of the entire adult population.
