The opening of Varos is an issue that will be decided jointly by Turkey, the "government" and the "presidency" of the pseudo-state, said "Prime Minister" Hussein Ozgiurgun.

Speaking on a television program in the occupied territories, Mr. Ozgyurgun referred, among other things, to the opening of the enclosed city to its old residents, as he mentioned. This, he added, should be done under the condition of maintaining the local administration and security issues by the Turkish Cypriot "authorities".

He also said that there was no reason for the "Greek Cypriot administration" to send goods to Greek Cypriots living in the "TRNC" (pseudo-state), as "conditions are not the same as in 1975" - referring on the one hand to the government of the Republic of Cyprus and on the other to trapped.

He added that these people [trapped] are also "citizens of the TRNC" and if they want they can apply for social support from the pseudo-state.

Regarding the opening of the roadblocks in Deryneia and Lefka / Apliki, Mr. Ozgiurgun said that it should be done at the same time, while he stated that the preparations of the Turkish Cypriot side have been completed and the projects have been announced by the United Nations.

Finally, he said that the Turkish Cypriot side did everything for a solution, but the Greek Cypriot side was not ready. He went on to say that the Turkish Cypriots have the same right as the Greek Cypriots to live on the island and added that their equality must be accepted. "Once these are accepted, there will be no reason not to reach an agreement," he said.

He also added that it is possible for coexistence side by side as two neighboring "states" with bilateral relations. To this end, he stated that in the previous days the Greek Cypriot side handed over a criminal to the pseudo-state, while a criminal surrendered from the Turkish Cypriot side to the Greek Cypriot side.
