The Turkish Foreign Minister, informing the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish National Assembly, said that 2017 was a useful year for Cyprus and that efforts were made for a lasting solution to the Cyprus problem.
"There is pessimism about the formation of a government after the elections in the TRNC. I hope they put aside statements like 'we are not going for an alliance' and a government is formed.
