The value of sports tourism and the fact that our country is a transit destination for this species was pointed out in an interview with the portal of InBusinessNews by the Vice President of the CTO, Costas Koumis.
Costas Koumis, Vice President of CTO, pointed out that "our country has perhaps the best climatic conditions in Europe", which together with the morphology of the soil favor the development of sports tourism, making Cyprus an ideal destination for very specific sports.
He even said that Cyprus should remain competitive in the international environment through the improvement of the existing infrastructure, investments in new infrastructure, the further specialization of human resources and the even greater promotion of Cyprus as a destination for sports tourism.
The interview of the Vice President of CTO took place on the occasion of the "Sports Tourism Conference", a unique conference on sports tourism, organized for the first time in Cyprus by the University of Nicosia, the Cyprus Tourism Organization and the Cyprus Sports Organization. The conference promises to bring the players of the local sports and tourism industry closer to the internationally renowned professionals of the industry.
