The meaning of true love and devotion was revealed in all its glory by a 97-year-old woman from Chania, who stubbornly refused to be taken to a nursing home, so as not to leave her 22-year-old dog alone.
The 97-year-old, who lives in Koumbe, had no relatives to take care of her and her health condition required that she be transferred to a nursing home, where she would receive better care. ΄
But the old woman did not even discuss it so as not to leave Oscar alone, since the nursing home did not allow her to take him with her.
Oscar came to her house and they all lived together, when the husband of the 97-year-old found him in the area of the Naval Station, a puppy and since then he was her most loyal friend.
In fact, lately, the woman was very upset, as her health forced her to keep him tied up in the yard.
A few days ago, a woman contacted the Animal Welfare Association of Chania and described the situation to them.
Fortunately, a solution was found, as a couple was found who were moved by the story of Oscar and the 97-year-old and agreed to adopt him, so that he could spend the remaining time calmly and lovingly.
