Components
For the salad
- 2 cucumbers, cut into thin vertical diagonal slices
- 1 large green pepper, cut into strips
- 350 gr. ripe tomatoes, cut into cubes
- 1 medium shallot (red onion), cut into slices
- 3 tbsp. vinegar
- 50 ml olive oil + extra for serving
- 10-15 olives
- 2 tbsp. capers
- Coarse salt
- 2 strong pinches of oregano
- 100 gr. feta, cut into thick slices
- Rustic bread, for serving
Execution method
- Put the onion and vinegar in a bowl and soak them for 15 minutes. Then drain the onion holding the vinegar.
- Transfer the onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepper to a bowl. Add the olive oil, salt and vinegar and mix with a spoon.
- Serve our salad in a salad bowl and pour over the olives, oregano, feta, capers and sprinkle with olive oil if desired.
- Accompany with village bread and enjoy!
