Greek village salad, a classically delicious and delicious salad. It is eaten at all hours and accompanies all your meals perfectly!

 Components

For the salad

  • 2 cucumbers, cut into thin vertical diagonal slices
  • 1 large green pepper, cut into strips
  • 350 gr. ripe tomatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 medium shallot (red onion), cut into slices
  • 3 tbsp. vinegar
  • 50 ml olive oil + extra for serving
  • 10-15 olives
  • 2 tbsp. capers
  • Coarse salt
  • 2 strong pinches of oregano
  • 100 gr. feta, cut into thick slices
  • Rustic bread, for serving

Execution method

  • Put the onion and vinegar in a bowl and soak them for 15 minutes. Then drain the onion holding the vinegar.
  • Transfer the onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepper to a bowl. Add the olive oil, salt and vinegar and mix with a spoon.
  • Serve our salad in a salad bowl and pour over the olives, oregano, feta, capers and sprinkle with olive oil if desired.
  • Accompany with village bread and enjoy!
