Have you ever felt frustrated that you could not make your old or favorite items look like new? Well, chances are there is a way to overcome this problem - you just did not know the secret.
Here are 13 great solutions tried by us and we present them to you.
Cutting wood
Clean the cutting board with a sponge and a mixture of lemon juice and salt.
Copper pots
Copper pots are considered the best for cooking. To make them look brand new, use salt and vinegar. Just sprinkle the surface with salt and then pour a little vinegar on them and rub it with a hard sponge.
Dishes
It is easy to get rid of scratches on dishes. Just use a varnish specifically designed for use on porcelain.
Baking trays
You can get rid of burnt fat in the pans by applying a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Spread the paste in the pan and leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse it with water.
rugs
You will need a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water. Mix the water and vinegar together in a spray bottle and then spray on the stain and cover it with a damp cloth. Turn on the iron, set it to steam mode and place it over the cloth for 30 seconds.
Cast iron pans
You will need a disinfectant that you use on your stove and some gloves, a garbage bag and white vinegar. Apply a thick layer of disinfectant to the old cast iron pan. To make sure it does not dry out, put it in a garbage bag and tie it tightly. Leave the pan in the bag for 1-2 days and then rinse the disinfectant. Then apply a new layer of the same liquid and put it back in a tightly knit bag for a day. Then rinse the dirt with warm water. Now, soak the pan in a mixture of hot water and vinegar (1: 1) for an hour and rub the surface with a sponge. Allow the pan to dry. Preheat the oven to 250 ° C and place the pan on it for one hour. Then carefully remove the hot pan and apply a layer of olive oil all over its surface. The hot metal will absorb the required amount of oil, then wipe off the residue with a clean, dry cloth and then put the pan back in the oven - this time upside down. After 15 minutes, take it out, wipe it with a cloth and put it back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes. Repeat the process two more times.
Tiles
Clean the areas between the tiles using bleach. Mix it with water in a ratio of 1: 1. Do not forget to ventilate the room for as long as you do.
White sneakers
You can make your sneakers shine again using the following solution: one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, three tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide, two tablespoons of water.
Leather furniture
Remove scratches on your couch with olive oil or baby oil using a cotton swab. Allow the oil to dry for an hour. If the scratch is still visible, repeat the procedure.
Furniture, with microfiber fabric
This type of furniture requires special care. You can use a white sponge and alcohol to get rid of any stains that appear on it over time. Wet the stain with a sponge soaked in alcohol, let it dry and then thoroughly clean the area with a brush.
Leather bags
You can easily clean stains on a leather bag using simple wet wipes.
Towels
To restore your "fluffy" towel, rinse it with sea water after washing. In addition, your towels will stay like new for longer if you dry them in a well-ventilated room or outdoors.
Toothbrushes
If you want to revive your old toothbrush, it's really easier than you think. To restore the curled bristles of your toothbrush, pour a little boiling hot water into a bowl and move the brush in a circular motion.
